Disco Terms & Conditions
Booking / Payment Arrangements
Booking details will be taken over the telephone or by email and will be confirmed in writing with a booking confirmation form (either by post or email). The booking confirmation form will contain all of the relevant information regarding the booking and also the costs.
The person making the booking must ensure that any accessibility issues (e.g. stairways, narrow doorways) are made known at the time of booking.
The person making the booking must ensure that there will be sufficient space available at the function venue to house the necessary equipment required by the booking.
A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total cost must be paid to confirm the booking and the booking confirmation form must be signed and returned.
A booking is confirmed once this booking confirmation form is returned with the deposit.
Deposit can be paid either in cash or by cheque
Any cancellations or changes must be made 10 days prior to the event (although certain changes may be possible within this time period).
Payments can be made prior to the event by cash or cheque.
Payment total must be made on the date of the event by cash or cheque.
Payment must be received at the start of the event at the latest.
The person making the booking must ensure that the venue will accept a mobile disco and that there are at least 2x 3 pin sockets within 10 metres of the where the disco / equipment is required.
We may require permission to perform a risk assessment at the venue prior to the event.
The person making the booking must be over 18 years of age and ensure that the venue is in possession of the relevant entertainment & liquor licenses. We are not responsible if the venue is found to be in breach of such licenses.
At the Event
The person making the booking must ensure that there is sufficient parking provided at the venue as close as possible to the function room where the disco / sound equipment is required.
We will arrive at the venue in plenty of time and where necessary make a pre-visit to check location of equipment, sockets, risk assessment etc.
We require access to the venue at least 1 hour before the start of the event and we will require a similar time to pack away after the event finishes.
We will not be responsible for any delay of the event starting time if we have not had adequate time to access the venue, or if there are venue / technical issues beyond our control.
We reserve the right to discontinue our ‘set up’ if there is insufficient space to safely assemble our equipment, this may result in the event being cancelled and no refund will be given.
We will always dress appropriately for your event.
We will always act professionally and behave in an appropriate manner.
As the entertainment provider we do not tolerate violent, aggressive or abusive behavior from anyone under any circumstances.
We reserve the right to terminate our services at any time if we feel that our personal safety and / or equipment is under threat.
We are not liable in any way for any injuries that may occur due to the actions of others / guests.
We are not responsible for any damage or loss of property caused by any person at the venue.
We do not take responsibility for removing unwanted people from the venue.
The person making the booking is responsible for any damage or loss of our equipment caused by any person at the event.
The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that there is sufficient supervision for persons under the age of 18 and that good behaviour is maintained throughout the event.
In the event of an emergency (fire, flood, terrorist activity or any other threat to the public) we will not be responsible for evacuating the venue.
Only Stoke Disco staff may operate our equipment.
No unauthorised person must use, move or tamper with our equipment. We will not be responsible for any damage or injury caused by such actions.
In the unlikely event that we are unable to attend your event we will do our utmost to ensure that an alternative is provided.
We reserve the right not to connect our equipment to any other equipment which may be at the venue.
Our equipment is fully PAT tested by a qualified electrician.
We will abide by all reasonable requests including the location of equipment and sound volume etc.
